Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Movement and Cognitive Skills training?
A: The training comprises elements of various approaches to learning development such as The Infinity Walk devised by Dr Deborah Sunbeck in the USA, The Raviv Method devised by Nili Raviv in Israel and Move to Learn devised by Barbara Pheloung in Australia.

Q: How often do I have to attend sessions?
A:  The sessions are 1 hour long and take place once a week at your designated centre either in Pinner.

Q: How quickly do you see results?
A:  As long as the exercises are being done correctly at home, the first signs of improvement can often be seen in as little as 4 weeks.
Q: From what age do you take clients?
A: The programme is suitable for both adults and children but the minimum age for children is 6 years old.

Q: Do you have a Criminal Records Bureau check for working with vulnerable people?
A: Yes I  do with the most recent being July 2011 and this is available for viewing should you require to see it.

Q: Can the Method be harmful?
A: As it is a non-invasive movement based programme it is higly unlikely to cause any harm.  However, because the exercises stimulate the brain we advise the training as being UNSUITABLE for epileptics as it may cause them to suffer an epileptic fit.  If you are in any doubt of your suitability to undertake this programme you are strongly advised to consult your Doctor first.

Q: How long will the total programme take?
A: For most clients we advise between 20 - 25 sessions depending upon the severity of their learning difficulties.  For clients with ADD or AD(H)D we are unable to give a definitive time scale as these conditions take longer to overcome.
